Biographical or Historical Data
Established 1928, providing programs on gardening, garden tours, and other horticultural activities. During World War II club canned vegetables as part of the war effort; arranged tours of gardens in and around Lincoln, participated in flower shows, winning several awards from Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts; provided information and speakers on aspects of the growing and propagation of flowers; involved in litter control, town beautification projects, and provided fresh flowers for the public library and other institutions.
